Mr. Caruso has provided management and administration services for major construction projects in the New York metropolitan area since 1968. His expertise includes:

His design construction experiences cover the range of projects from airport facilities, co generation facilities, chemical plants, water treatment and waste water pollution control plants, and transportation to university facilities, court complexes, correctional institutions, and medical centers.

As owner of his own Construction Management company and as Vice President of firms such as O'Brien/Kreitzberg; Mauchly; and Lehr, McGovern, Bovis, Mr Caruso, has been in responsible charge of several major projects, and programs, including:

Program Manager to set up New York City's School Construction

Authority $5 billion program.

Program Manager for the $2.6 billion JFK 2000 Airport Renovation.

Principle in charge for the $80 million New York State FDC Kings Park

Psychiatric Center Renovation.

Principle in charge for New York City's Sanitation Garage Modernization

program $30 million

Principle in charge Nassau County Medical Center Dynamic Care Building;

Project Controls $75 million.

Mr. Caruso served as Deputy Commissioner of Public Works for Nassau County during the critical EPA consent decree initiative. During that time he was in responsible charge of the Wastewater and Water Management Division of Public Works. This division administered an annual operating budget of $118 million with an active $960 million Capital Construction Program to serve a 1.4 million population and protect its sole source aquifer and surrounding recreational waters.
Highlights of his work with the County include:

Established $960 million design construct program to assure compliance withEPA/NYSDEC mandate for secondary treatment by July 1, 1988, at Nassau Countysewage treatment facilities.
Established $100 million design construct program to upgrade 40 year old sewer systemincluding 22 pump stations.
Redirected “Water Supply Unit” from data collection-well drilling into WaterManagement Unit responsible for engineering, planning and operation of ;hazardouswaste cleanup; groundwater modeling; and comprehensive planning programs.
